About
A wide, quiet beach on the Rushikonda road, known for sunrise walks and occasional parasailing.
Sagar Nagar Beach lies on the coastal road between Kailasagiri and Rushikonda, where the hills come down close to the sea. The beach is broad and open, with rocky patches at the edges and the green slopes of the Kailasagiri range behind it.
It is a local favourite for sunrise walks, and on weekends you may find parasailing operators towing riders above the sand. From the Kailasagiri hilltop, the long curve of Sagar Nagar Beach and the road beside it make a striking view.
Facilities are basic and the sea is rough, but the drive along this stretch of Beach Road, with hills on one side and the ocean on the other, is a big part of the appeal.
