Privacy policy

Draft template aligned with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Have it reviewed by a lawyer before launch.

What we collect

• Account data: mobile number, name, email (if provided), area and interests you choose.
• Transaction data: bookings, tickets and service requests. Card/UPI details are handled by Razorpay; we never see or store them.
• Location: only when you allow it, to show nearby results. We store the area you pick, not your live location.
• Usage data: pages viewed and items saved, to personalise recommendations.

Why we use it

To provide the service (log in, bookings, notifications), prevent fraud and spam, and improve recommendations. We do not sell personal data.

Who we share it with

Event organizers see attendee names and contact details for their events. Service providers see your request details and, once they accept, your phone number. Payment processing is by Razorpay; SMS and email are sent via our providers.

Your rights

You can download a copy of your data, correct it or delete your account at any time from My account, withdraw consent for marketing, and nominate another person to exercise your rights. Contact our grievance officer at grievance@thevizaglocals.com.

Retention

We keep booking and payment records as required by tax law (up to 8 years). When you delete your account we remove your contact details, résumés, saved items and notifications, and take down your listings; the booking and payment records we must keep no longer identify you.
