About
Cascades over smooth, sloping rocks near Araku — a natural water slide and picnic spot.
Chaparai, also called Dumbriguda Falls, is a broad cascade over smooth, gently sloping rocks about 12–15 km from Araku town.
Unlike tall waterfalls, the water here slides down a series of rock shelves, which visitors use as natural water slides. The surrounding forest makes it a favourite picnic stop on Araku trips.
The rocks are slippery and the flow becomes dangerous after heavy rain.
